"Isolation is a common enemy to people. When presented with confrontation it triggers our "fight or flight" reflex. In my case, when I find myself overwhelmed I tend to distance myself. This has been a tactic I've used for years, and it's not practical. For conflicts to be resolved we need to be able to talk to one another like the family we treat each other as. Removing yourself from a situation doesn't mean the issue is resolved. It still unravels in your absence, and that can be fatal to your psyche. This song encompasses my struggle of wanting to be heard while keeping my hand over my mouth. Use your voice and speak up or reach out. If people really matter to you, conflict shouldn't be a chore."
